2000 RP Technology Promotion & Application Exchange

South China University of Technology (China) and
Industrial Centre, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

This event attracted more than 200 participants in which a significant portion is educators from major technical institutions all over the country. The event was focused on three major areas, which are:

• Computer-aided Instruction
• Rapid Prototyping In China
• Rapid Tooling

In the 4 presentations, Industrial Centre updated the participants on development of Rapid Prototyping Technologies and introduced to them Advanced Rapid Tooling Technologies by in-house case studies.

A mini-exhibition by RP vendors & service bureaus was also held to introduce the most up-to-date commercial product development tools to the participants.

A CD-ROM was published after this event, which covers most technical topics discussed. It aims to further promote the use of multi-media interactive technologies to deliver modern industrial training.
